Hawke Frontier Binoculars

Hawke Frontier

The Frontier is Hawke’s flagship binocular range. Whether you’re watching birds in the woods or scanning a distant coastline, these binoculars are made to give you a bright, sharp and comfortable view in all kinds of conditions.

Hawke Frontier ED X Binoculars

The Frontier ED X is probably the best known collection in the Frontier range. It comes in a good spread of sizes, including 8×32, 8×42, 10×42 and 10×50.

The ED glass keeps colours looking accurate and reduces the faint colour fringing you sometimes notice around high contrast subjects. Couple that with fully multi coated optics and dielectric coated prisms and you get views that are genuinely bright and detailed.

With the Frontier ED, you get a serious level of performance without crossing into high prices.

Hawke Frontier APO Binoculars

The Frontier APO sits a step above the ED X. These binoculars use apochromatic optical elements, which give even tighter control over colour fringing and bring a noticeable improvement in sharpness and contrast. They represent the best optical performance Hawke currently offers.

The differences are subtle and you might not notice them straight away. But if you spend long stretches behind your binoculars, they become more apparent over time.

How Do The Two Ranges Compare?

Both ranges are built for serious outdoor use. Waterproof construction, magnesium alloy bodies and premium optical coatings come as standard.

Where they part ways is in the optical system. The Frontier ED X delivers excellent image quality that will satisfy most users comfortably. The Frontier APO takes things a step further, squeezing out extra sharpness, contrast and colour accuracy through its apochromatic design.
